In School Delivery

A specifically crafted 5-day outdoor education experience, our in-school delivery programme aims to enrich young minds with a deeper appreciation for our waterways, fostering new experiences and empowering them to make informed decisions shaping their future and the environment.

What is it?

Embark on an adventure with our Ambassador programme, where young minds connect with the magic of Foyle and Carlingford Loughs. Dive into engaging experiences in recreation, volunteering, and conservation, guided by the spirit of the John Muir Trust Award. Join a tribe of Ambassadors exploring, conserving, and sharing their love for these important marine environments.

Who is it for?

Our programme welcomes schools within the Foyle and Carlingford catchment area that meet the following requirements:

  • Schools must have 20 pupils from year 10/11 (NI) or 2nd/3rd class (Ire to participate)

  • Participation is during school hours for five consecutive days

  • Each school must provide at least one staff member (teacher or classroom assistant) to accompany the students and assist with communication with both students and their parents/guardians

  • Schools are also asked to provide evaluation feedback after the programme
