Carlingford Catchment | Milltown Lough

This 19 hectare (45 acre) lake is situated close to Greenan Lough and lies amongst the foothills of the Mourne Mountains. It can be described as elongated, lying along the bottom of quite narrow valleys.  Coarse fishing for the usual species, including reasonable pike fishing.  Access should be with landowners permission.  There are some platforms at this site, but care should be exercised if using them as there appears to have been little maintenance.   A Loughs Agency rod licence is compulsory to fish this water.
