This 21 hectare (50 acre) lake is adjacent to the Belfast to Dublin road (A1), it is stocked with brown trout and rainbow trout. Only orthodox fly fishing is permitted.  Prospective anglers should remember that along with their Loughs Agency Rod Licence they require a DAERA permit to fish this lake. Permits are available online from NI Direct.  There is a car park at the north west side and a surfaced footpath runs around the western shore from here. Parking is available at the layby along the western side of the lake, just off the A1.
