Using the John Muir Award, we encourage our Ambassadors to discover more, explore more, conserve more and share more. Since 2014 close to 100 teenagers from the North West have graduated as Foyle Ambassadors with a greater understanding and respect for the river that so many of us take for granted. In 2019 we are excited to launch our first Carlingford Ambassadors Programme.

Ambassadors do not only build lasting connections with wild places, they also build lasting friendships with people from different backgrounds. The experiences they gain provides them with skills for life through fun, friendship and adventure.

Loughs Agency feel that our Ambassadors Programme has the potential to reach many more young people, creating stronger communities and inspiring everyone to love our waterways.  This Easter, Loughs Agency will be running 2 different Ambassador Programmes. These will both be 5 day long programmes during which the participants will take part in water-sports, conservation projects and much more.
