Streamkeepers Programme

Streamkeepers is a community outreach programme providing the opportunity for the public to get involved in looking after their local stream, river or lake.

What is it?

Introducing Streamkeepers, Loughs Agency's dynamic community outreach initiative promoting the vital protection of natural resources. Join groups of all ages in taking action for local waterways—cleaning up streams, rivers, and lakes to support our thriving fish populations. As custodians of one of Western Europe's most successful salmon fisheries, we value clean waterways and positive learning experiences.

Streamkeepers receive a toolkit from Loughs Agency, equipping them with information, contacts, and checklists for successful environmental events. We offer guidance, advice, and necessary equipment like litter picks, gloves, high-vis vests, and bags. If your community is ready to dive in, express interest here.
