Tracking of juvenile seals a first for Northern Ireland

Release video

Latest update is that both seals seem to have settled across the Irish Sea.  The data collected since release in November has been extremely good quality and of high scientific interest for the project.  With both seals covering a huge range and dives of up to 160m the data is shedding invaluable light on juvenile harbour seal behaviour.  Three new rehabilitated seals are being tagged and released in February and with updates to follow.
