Using historical maps and other materials, this workshop aims to engage local people through a discussion on the heritage importance of the river – the mills, fishing, stories, songs etc. It explores how the river has changed over time and how it has affected generations of local people. To help build community knowledge, participants are encouraged to bring along any old photographs, stories or artefacts associated with the local river.
