School Field Trips

There’s nothing better than getting out there and experiencing the wonders of our local environment first hand.  We offer a range of outreach programmes at the waters edge – whether that is at the edge of a pond, lake, stream, canal, river, lough or sea.

All our programmes enable participants to appreciate, understand and respect their local environment more through discovery. Getting in there and getting the welly boots wet.

Our water edge outreach programmes include:

  • Habitat Study – of a marine of freshwater habitat
  • River Study – surveying various river charateristics such as depth, width, substrate, etc
  • Clean Ups – Litter picks alongside waterways to remove waste
  • Angling Experiences – angling taster experience to teach the basic of angling such as how to cast and reel in a fish.
