Education Engagement Officer

EDUCATION ENGAGEMENT OFFICER – REF:  EEO/22

Temporary – 3 year (subject to funding and with a possible extension)

Grade:  Executive Officer 1 (EOI) / Salary £28,706 – £29,307 per annum

 

Essential Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate that they possess the following criteria by the closing date for applications:

 

1. A third level qualification relevant to the post (such as a teaching, biological or environmental science discipline) AND have 1 year relevant experience working in environmental / countryside management, education or community based partnership schemes and show demonstrable experience in at least 3 of the following areas:

• Development, management and delivery of education/environmental projects / programmes;
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal, ability to quickly build trust and relationships;
• Key team player – the ability to work in a team, and can also work effectively as an individual;
• Event planning, co-ordination and delivery – strong organisational and planning skills;
• Working in partnership with community and voluntary sectors.

 

OR

 

3 years relevant experience working in environmental / countryside management, education or community based partnership schemes and show demonstrable experience in at least 3 of the following areas:

2. Candidates must have a full current driving licence by the closing date and have a mode of transport suitable for travel in relation to this job.

 

3. Candidates must be willing to travel and to work at evenings and weekends when required.

 

Desirable Criteria

In the event of a large number of suitably qualified applications, the criteria may be enhanced, as detailed below. 

 

1. Experience of developing cross border projects.
