 Grade:  Staff Officer (SO) / Salary Scale:  £32,328 to £33,459 per annum

 

Essential Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate that they possess the following criteria, by the closing date for applications:

  1. A third level (degree or equivalent) qualification in a relevant subject e.g. Business, Rural Development, Geography or Environmental Science.

AND

  1. At least 3 years’ relevant work experience including experience of developing and implementing evidence-based development programmes/projects and working in partnership with public, private, and third sector bodies.

OR

  1. At least 5 years’ relevant work experience including experience of developing and implementing evidence-based development programmes/projects and working in partnership with public, private, and third sector bodies.

All candidates must also show demonstrable experience in the following areas:

  • Interpersonal, oral and written communications skills including the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels inside and outside the organisation.
  • Experience of engagement, influencing and negotiating with organisations or groups to bring about positive outcomes.
  • Analytical skills including the ability to undertake detailed reviews. Experience of preparing documents and reports.
  • The ability to plan, manage and deliver projects on time and within budget plus experience of undertaking post-project evaluation.
  • Experience of financial management including experience of audit processes and control systems.

4. Candidates must have a full current driving licence by the closing date and have a mode of transport suitable for travel in relation to this job.

 

Desirable Criteria

In the event of a large number of suitably qualified applications, the criteria will be enhanced, as detailed below. 

  1. A postgraduate or masters level degree qualification relevant to the post.
  1. Experience of developing cross border projects.
  1. 7 years’ relevant work experience including experience of developing and implementing evidence-based development programmes/projects and working in partnership with public, private, and third sector bodies.
