The Loughs Agency, in conjunction with NIEA, are currently carrying out an investigation into the recent fish kill on the River Faughan.
Loughs Agency and NIEA staff are assessing the situation to ascertain the cause of this event.
The Loughs Agency would like to remind any anglers or members of the public that any dead fish encountered should not be removed from the river.
Loughs Agency and NIEA staff have been gathering fish to be used as evidence in the investigation.
The cause of death for these fish is as yet unproven and in the interest of the evidence gathering process the Loughs Agency asks that dead fish are not removed from the water.
