  • for schools its a great educational resource full of local information on the Foyle and Carlingford catchments,
  • for tourists a great place to discover the wonderful biodiversity of our waterways
  • for community groups safe place to learn, engage and have fun, and
  • for businesses, an alternative meeting place and an opportunity to demonstrating committment towards social responsibility and environmental friendliness.

The aquariums represent the freshwater and marine species native to our own waters.  So if you have every wondered what lives beneath the surface, then Riverwatch can be your window to a wonderful underwater world.

We have lobster, crabs, starfish, coalfish, blenny’s and lots of other unusual marine fish and crustaceans in our lough life and seashore life tanks.  Come and see salmon, sticklebacks, minnows, roach and other freshwater fish in the stream life, lake life and pond life tanks.

And, we are continually changing our livestock so it’s always worth another trip!
