Superb walking routes cross the world famous Mourne Mountains that fringe the north shore of Carlingford Lough, with the outstanding mountains of the Cooley peninsula offering similar opportunity on the opposite shore.

Ballykelly Bank, Lough Foyle

This walk is on the eastern shore of Lough Foyle, close to the village of Ballykelly, near Limavady. The walk is along a broad gravel and level track alongside polders (reclaimed land) and is 4 miles (7km) in length.
Ballymacran Bank, Lough Foyle

This walk is on the eastern shore of Lough Foyle, near Limavady. The walk is along a broad gravel and level track between the sea wall and polders and is 2.5-5 miles (4 - 8km) in length.
