Location

The fair this year will be held at the Playing Fields in Newtownstewart, Co Tyrone.  The site is just off the main A5 road between Strabane and Omagh.  The playing fields can be muddy in wet weather so check the forecast and bring your wellies if it's wet!

Travelling to the show by bus?

Below are routes and times travelling from Omagh/Derry/Strabane/Sion Mills for each day of the fair.  Please check with Translink before travelling as they are subject to change.  If you are travelling from another destination check on the translink route planner for bus schedules.

Journey: Omagh Buscentre/Newtownstewart - Service No 273

Saturday scheduled Translink buses (Service No 273) leaving from Omagh Buscentre at 9.25am, 10.25am, 12.25pm 1.25pm and 2.25pm to Newtownstewart Main Street with journey time approximately 15 minutes.

Saturday scheduled return journeys from Newtownstewart Main Street to Omagh Buscentre at 12.03pm, 1.03pm, 2.03pm 3.03pm, 4.03pm and 5.03pm.

Sunday scheduled Translink buses (Service No 273) leaving from Omagh Buscentre at 11.35am and 2.55pm to Newtownstewart Main Street with journey time approximately 25 minutes.

Sunday scheduled return journeys from Newtownstewart Main Street to Omagh Buscentre at 12.53pm and 4.03pm.

Journey: Derry/Newtownstewart - Service No 273 (also stopping at Strabane Buscentre, Sion Mills Main Street and Victoria Bridge Bus Stop)

Saturday scheduled Translink buses leaving from Foyle Street Station, Derry to Newtownstewart at 9.11am, 11.11am, 12.11pm, 1.11pm, 2.11pm, and 3.11pm.

Saturday scheduled return journeys from Newtownstewart Main Street to Derry Foyle Street Buscentre at 10.38am, 12.38pm, 1.38pm, 2.38pm, 4.38pm and 5.53pm.

Sunday scheduled Translink buses leaving from Foyle Street Station, Derry to Newtownstewart at 8.41am, 12.01pm and 3.11pm

Sunday scheduled return journeys from Newtownstewart Main Street to Derry Foyle Street Buscentre at 11.48am and 3.08pm

Parking

Limited parking is available on site free of charge.  All visitors are requested to use the car parks in the town or main car park on site if attending the show.  The entrance to the main car park is just off the Douglas Road.  Limited disabled parking is available to vehicles displaying appropriate parking permits.  Drop off/pick up zone is at the council amenity site.  No street parking is permitted.  Vehicles parked outside the designated areas or those causing an obstruction will be reported to the PSNI.

Admission

Admission is free to the Angling Fair.  Pedestrians can enter the grounds either via the main car park. 

Upon entry all visitors should receive a show programme with details on the fair and a site plan.

Facilities

Toilets and hot food will be available on site.
